You can’t guard every player the same way because not all offensive players are built the same. If someone is bigger than you use that to your advantage and use being closer to the ground as an opportunity to poke the ball free. If a post player just keeps backing you down pull the chair on them which means engage on their first bump and as they go for the second bump take a couple steps backwards to use their momentum against them. You have to get a feel for what each opposing player can and can’t do and force them away from their spots. If a player is a weak ball handler tell your teammates to hedge screens to get easy steals. Things like this will make you a smarter player and help your team win a lot more games if you just start paying attention to what opposing players are strong and weak at.
